Ballybunion, County Kerry, Ireland
The sand dunes of Ballybunion Cashen are just as spectacular as the Old Course. Just like the Old Course, it contains many magnificent holes, especially the par fives. Often overlooked in favour of the Old Course, the opportunity to play the Cashen Course should not be missed. Together they are arguably the finest 36 holes of links golf anywhere in one place. It’s often said that if the Cashen course were situated anywhere else, rather than adjacent to the Old Course, it would attract far more plaudits and attention than it does.
