Brittas Bay, County Wicklow, Ireland
Though the European Golf Club only opened for play in 1987. It has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most popular links in Ireland. A number of holes rank among the world’s top 100 courses. Three of the holes were recently included in GOLF magazine’s list of the top 500 courses. None of this is surprising when you experience the rugged dunes, deep bunkers, sea breezes and undulating greens that characterize The European Golf Club. Three holes run parallel to the Irish Sea and the beach is accessible if the tide is out.
