Brittas Bay, County Wicklow, Ireland
Though Brittas Bay Golf Club, formerly The European Golf Club, first opened for play in 1987, it quickly established itself as one of Ireland’s most celebrated links courses. Renowned for its rugged dunes, deep bunkers, sea breezes, and undulating greens, the course offers a truly unforgettable Irish links experience, with several holes running alongside the Irish Sea itself.
Currently undergoing an exciting transformation, the course is set to reopen in 2027 following an extensive redesign by renowned architect Kyle Phillips course designer of Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland. The reimagined layout will enhance playability while preserving the championship character and dramatic coastal setting that have long defined this spectacular destination.
